Helloooo strangers…I mean, friends…it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything on here OR on my Instagram. Colin & I just finished our move to Texas, and we spent a few weeks getting settled/exploring, and we are currently visiting my family in Indiana. Blogging has taken a back seat to family time, but I’m hoping to get a few more posts up before school starts in August!
Summer is probably my favorite time of the year, and July is the best time to score some serious deals on clothes. Most stores are marking their summer clothes major % off, in order to prepare for their “back to school” clothes. But if you’re like me and you live in a place where it’ll still be 80 degrees for a few more months, now is the time to stock up on shorts, swim, & tanks! I’ve included some of my favorite summer pieces & links to shop!
I am seriously obsessed with the Palm Leaf pattern…and by obsessed, I mean I just bought 3 separate items in this pattern. A swim top, jumper, and skinny jeans (and yes, they’ll all be featured on Instagram at some point in the next month!!). I’ve linked these bikini bottoms that are on sale for $9 from Old Navy…I have the matching top, which isn’t available online anymore, but some stores still have it for $10! Old Navy is actually having a killer sale on their swim online, so now is the time to buy!
Personally, I hate shopping for shorts. I wear a different size at every single store. I can be a 2-4 at one store, and a 10-12 at another store. I’m not even exaggerating. The shorts I featured in my latest Instagram post were BOGO 50% off at AE…so of course I got 4 new pair of shorts because the fit was AMAZING. I like my jean shorts to fit a little looser, so the shorts I bought are a size 10. my shorts are on sale for $35, but some shorts on their website are as low as $15. I love love love these because they are high waisted, but still long enough to cover my entire butt (which is hard to do when wearing high waisted shorts!).
The sunglasses featured in my post are Jessica Simpson, and I bought them at TJ Maxx for $10…but I can’t find them on the internet anywhere! I always get my sunnies from TJ Maxx, because they have the best assortment of shades. I’ve linked this pair that I think are absolutely to die for…and I’m probably going to order them for myself soon 🙂
